Director | Producer
Andy Alvarez is an award winning filmmaker based in Vancouver, BC. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2017 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production. Her directorial debut, and UBC Thesis project, based on her personal story is the award winning short film La Mariposa, 2017. After more than fourteen world-wide festival screenings, and several awards, La Mariposa was awarded a Leo Award for Best Student Production in June of 2018. She was selected as one of the 10 filmmakers to participate in Vancouver’s International Film Festival’s first Talent Lab program. Then went on to be one of five finalists at the MPPIA Pitch at the Whistler Film Festival in December 2018. This year Andy was awarded the Lindalee Tracey Award at Hot Docs for her recent short film, Our Home, 2018

Director of Photography | Story Editor
Diana Parry is a Director of Photography based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada. Having graduated from the University of British Columbia’s Film Production Program in 2017 she has continued to shoot short narrative films such as Line of Fire (2018), Zero (2019), and the Telus StoryHive funded Laura (2019). Diana also has experience with commercial content. She believes that every project is only as strong as it’s script and also enjoys story editing scripts, such as The Firm (2017). Diana uses cinematography as a tool to support powerful stories and is excited to create diverse content, especially from unique cultural and feminine perspectives. She is also inspired by photography and travels the world in her spare time taking 35mm portrait and nature photography.
Producer | Director
Mike Johnston is an award-winning director and producer based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. He often chooses to make films based or inspired on true events with complex, character-driven perspectives. Mike’s most recent narrative film, Line of Fire (2018) was inspired by a true story and the swatting phenomenon that was sweeping the United States in 2017-2018. The film went on as an Official Selection at more than ten film festivals in the United States. Winning an Award of Recognition at the Best Shorts Competition in Los Angeles as well as the Audience Choice Award. Mike is currently in production on the film, ZERO (2019) - a dark comedy about a zero waste serial killer and a documentary entitled, VAN-COUVER (2020) about the housing crisis currently facing Vancouver, British Columbia.
