Andy Alvarez is an award winning filmmaker based in Vancouver, BC. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2017 with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film Production. Her directorial debut, and UBC Thesis project, based on her personal story is the award winning short film La Mariposa, 2017. After more than fourteen world-wide festival screenings, and several awards, La Mariposa was awarded a Leo Award for Best Student Production in June of 2018. She was selected as one of the 10 filmmakers to participate in Vancouver’s International Film Festival’s first Talent Lab program. Then went on to be one of five finalists at the MPPIA Pitch at the Whistler Film Festival in December 2018. This year Andy was awarded the Lindalee Tracey Award at Hot Docs for her recent short film, Our Home, 2018. Andy is currently developing a webseries; Growing Up With Mi Familia. For which the pilot has been funded by TELUS Storyhive.

Diana Parry is a Director of Photography based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada. Having graduated from the University of British Columbia’s Film Production Program in 2017 she has continued to shoot short narrative films such as Line of Fire (2018), Zero (2019), the Telus StoryHive funded Laura (2019) and Crazy 8’s short Sol (2020). She received a nomination for Best Cinematography at the Chilliwack Film Festival ’19 and won Best Cinematography at the Vancouver Shorts Film Festival ’2o for Laura. Diana uses cinematography as a tool to support powerful stories and is excited to create diverse content, especially from unique cultural and gender perspectives. She was one of the recipients of the Storyhive and NSI Fellowship program for ImagineNATIVE Film Festival in 2019.

Martin is a writer and director based in Vancouver, BC, having graduated from UBC in 2017 with a BFA Majoring in Film Production and minoring in Creative Writing. He is currently in the development phase of a co-written script for Crazy 8’s 2020 Top 12. Martin’s most recent directoral project was his 2017 UBC Undergraduate thesis film, The Firm. Since graduating Martin is working towards an independent career as a screenwriter. He’s focused on making meaningful connections with other collaborators in the filmmaking community through the passion for storytelling. Martin is a co-founder and an executive producer of Studio 104 Entertainment. His focus within the partnership includes seeking projects for development, refining them in early stages of production, as well as writing original narrative content.

Mike Johnston is an award-winning director and producer based out of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
Mike's films have played at film festivals across the United States and Canada including the Vancouver International Film Festival, Whistler Film Festival, Encounters Film Festival and Independent Short Awards. In early 2019, Mike produced the Crazy8s breakout film, Idols Never Die, which premiered at the Telefilm Not Short on Talent program at the Cannes Film Festival in March 2019. Mike's films have also received distribution and licensing on several outlets including CBC, CBC Gem, Telus Optik TV on Demand, Youtube and Crave.
Mike is a standing member of the Canadian Academy for Film & Television as well as the BC Media Producers Association.
